The South African flag is flying high at the Toronto Film Festival.
Multiple SA stars posed on the red carpet for their respective films premiering at the annual film event, including The Woman King and The Umbrella Men.
Thuso Mbedu stunned on the red carpet alongside her co-stars Makgotso M, Siv Ngesi, Masali Baduza and Siyamthanda Makakane at the premiere of the historic epic at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Jaques De Silva stepped out for the premiere of The Umbrella Man with his co-stars, including Shamilla Miller, Keenan Arrison and Bronte Snell.
The Umbrella Man, directed by SA filmmaker John Barker, centres on a ragtag bunch of musicians who are forced to rob a bank during the Cape Town Minstrel Carnival in the hope they will save their iconic but in-debt nightclub in the Bo Kaap.
Also at the TIFF promoting his film Living was South African director Oliver Hermanus. The film premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival in January with five-star reviews and was screened at the Venice Film Festival earlier this month.
