The objective of these awards is to recognise extraordinary South African women leaders, across various sectors, who inspire many and make a difference to the greater South African and global community.

The UN General Assembly has elected South Africa, along with 13 other states, to the Human Rights Council for a three-year terms which starts on 1 January 2023.

Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe told delegates that Africa’s oil and gas resources can help accelerate and guarantee the continent’s energy security, and drive regional economic development through the processing and beneficiation of petroleum products. The Minister was addressing about 2 000 delegates at the official opening of the Africa Oil Week conference in Cape Town on Tuesday.

The 6th Nation Brand Forum will be attended by key stakeholders representing various sectors of corporate South Africa and some of the notable speakers, delegates and participants including Colin Coleman, former Goldman Sachs partner, founder of Bathu Shoes, Theo Baloyi, manager of H & M, Caroline Nelson and Tshepo Mohlala, founder of a denim brand.
